| Tampa Museum of Art Florida, Unbuilt 119,157 SF Mina Hatano as Project Architect at Rafael Vinoly Architects The design for the new Tampa Museum of Art creates a world-class cultural facility with re-establishment of its intimidate connection of city and the waterfront. "Urban Canopy" hovers over and shade a large portion of public space, redefining the new edge of park. The museum itself is composed by a stack of interlocked levels of galleries connected by perimeter circulation with stairs. Minimal foot print of the project elevates mass and allows open view and free access between city, the park and the river. |
